A PAIR OF CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN LOTUS CUPS, GUANGXU MARK. Each cup in the form of a lotus blossom with incised overlapping petals covered in a graduating pink glaze outlined in black enamel with a hollowed lime green glazed stem handle leading into a pierced circular aperture in the well of the cup. The handle inscribed ‘Da Qing Guangxu jiu nian Anhui Taihu fujin qiucao jinian bei’, commemorating the autumn military exercises held near Taihu in Anhui in the ninth year of Guangxu reign. 17.5cm and 18.5cm length.
