A LARGE CHINESE WARRING STATES IMPRESSED POTTERY JAR. Relatively highly-fired, the whole outer surface decorated with deeply impressed repeated geometric patterns, with a wide flared mouth. Warring States period (475 – 221 BC). Repairs to rim. Height 29cm, diameter 29.5cm.
Provenance: from the collection of the late Brian Page (1938-2018), the well-known Oriental art collector and dealer, acquired from the US in the 1990s.
