TWO CHINESE POTTERY ANIMAL FIGURES, NORTHERN WEI / TANG DYNASTY. A pottery figure of a recumbent ox, Northern Wei dynasty (386-534). Together with a red pottery figure of a sleeping boar, Tang dynasty (618-907AD). Ox 21cm length. Boar 10cm length. (2) Provenance: From a private Essex collection. The ox purchased from Brian Page Antiques, Brighton 2003. The boar acquired in 2003.
Condition: Tip of horn re-stuck and chip to rear below tail.
