AN ISLAMIC BRASS QUADRANT. Inscribed with Arabic script, projections and grids. The quarter astrolabe used to measure the height of certain stars at a specific latitude and consequently used for such things as determining time, or time of prayer. 18th century or later. Approx. 21cm width x 19cm height including loop hanging.
