A Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Pottery Buddhist Zodiac Jar. Profusely decorated with Buddhist emblems using various techniques: incising, moulding, impressing, and featuring the twelve animals of the Chinese Zodiac around the waist of the jar. Complete with its original cover. Height 25 cm. 12th – 14th Century.
Provenance: From the collection of the late Brian Page (1938 – 2018), the well-known Oriental art collector and dealer.
