A large Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Glazed Buddhist Jar. Heavily-potted with both cover and jar decorated with various moulded and applied Buddhist emblems. The inner and outer surfaces coated in a streaky green glaze on top of an unevenly-applied creamy-white slip resulting in a variety of shades of green. 37cm tall. 12th – 14th Century.
Provenance: From the collection of the late Brian Page (1938 – 2018), the well-known Oriental art collector and dealer.
