A Large Chinese Yuan Dynasty Blue & White Jar with Oxford TL Test. A very rare example of early Chinese ceramic decorated in underglaze blue from the Yuxi kilns in Yunnan province. Decorated around the shoulder with the ‘Three Friends of Winter’ (pine, bamboo and plum). The rest of the surface decorated with scrolling floral and lotus leaf patterns. With original cover. 41cm tall. (16 inches).
With Oxford Authentication TL certificate dated 4th October 2018. Sample No. P118k33. Confirming date of manufacture 600 – 800 years ago. Yuan Dynasty ( AD 1279 – 1368).
Provenance: From the collection of the late Brian Page (1938 – 2018), the well-known Oriental art collector and dealer.
