Four Original 19th Century Felice Beato Photographs of China or Japan. One showing a mansion with westerners standing at the windows of the upper floor looking down on a group of locals (servants to the house?) (26.5cm x 20cm). The second showing western-style houses including a westerner with a dog (22.75cm x 17.5cm). The third a view over a forested plain (28cm x 20.5cm). The fourth showing a village scene (28.5cm x 22cm).
Provenance: From the collection of the late Brian Page (1938-2018), the well-known Oriental art and antiques dealer from Brighton. Each with tears or loss to edges.
