Three Japanese 18th & 19th Century Illustrated Woodblock Printed Books – Kyoho. Three books apparently by the same artist, Kyoho (?) comprising humorous illustrations of people in a unique style, two 18th century (probably 1721) hand-coloured, the third a later (early 19th century) re-print. 18cm x 25.5cm.
Provenance: From the collection of the late Brian Page (1938-2018), the well-known Oriental art and antiques dealer from Brighton.
