Japanese 19th Century Woodblock Printed Shunga (Erotic) Books. Pages incomplete and from more than one book. Includes around 18 images, of which most are diptyches. Each page approx. 15cm (6 inches x 22cm (8.5 inches). The printing is top quality, the artists are probably Kunisada and/or Eisen. Dating to around 1840.
Provenance: From the collection of the late Brian Page (1938-2018), the well-known Oriental art and antiques dealer from Brighton.
