A Japanese amber and horn netsuke in the form of a double gourd. Meiji Period. Length 6cm.
Provenance: Purchased from Brian Page Antiques 9th November 2000. An unusual Japanese jawbone netsuke. Possibly from the upper jaw of a fox. The top of the netsuke with re lacquer. Provenance: Purchased from Brian Page Antiques 9th November 2000.
Property of an English gentleman, acquired in the 1990s and early 2000s. A crack to the top amber ball of the gourd. Another small chip on the bottom ball.
