A Japanese ivory netsuke in the form of a finger citron/Buddha’s hand, Meiji period. Together with ivory ‘Gingko nuts’ netsuke, with maker’s mark. Finger citron approx. 6cm length. Nuts 4cm length. (2)
Provenance: Property of an English gentleman, acquired in the 1990s and early 2000s. Loss to one wing of a butterfly on the finger citron netsuke. No other visible damage or repair. The ‘ginko’ nuts are in good condition.
