A pair of Chinese red and black gilt-lacquer carved wall hangings each depicting two figures and a phoenix. With painted characters verso. Height approx. 48 cm. Purchased in Hong Kong, circa 1980.
Natural cracks and surface wear to lacquer and gilding as expected with age. Some filling to cracks on top.
