Lot 212:
Eight gilt-lacquer and painted wood carvings of figures and horses. Four in formal house setting. Tallest approx. 20 cm. Together with copy of original receipt. Purchased from Yue Kee Curios Co., Hong Kong, 1986. General surface wear and natural cracks to wood as expected for their age.
Horseman figures – on one piece, the standing figure is missing hand and the figure on horseback has loss to the side of head.
Theatre scene fighting – loss to finial piece on one and chips to corners of roof.
Theatre scene standing – chips to corners of roof and minor areas of loss to edges.
Standing warriors – chips to one sword, hat and horses rein.
