A Chinese amber-glazed tripod pottery jar and cover. The cylindrical ribbed body on three lion form supports with a flattened cover, covered in a rich amber glaze. The interior unglazed. Tang dynasty (618-907) or later. Height 14cm, diam. 10.5cm
A very shallow chip to the rim of the cover but otherwise in good overall condition with surface wear expected for its age.
