A CHINESE RED LACQUER BOX AND COVER, 20TH CENTURY. Of rectangular form depicting a pagoda in landscape scene within a key fret border. Black lacquer interior and base. 22.5cm x 13.5cm
Provenance: From a local estate. Property of Navy Commander Henry W Jennings R.N. who was stationed in Sasebo Japan between 1946-48. Retired in 1960’s and thence by descent. Overall good condition with expected surface wear to base and areas from handling.
